At Redwood Tall, we made an effort to make all our products with 100% cotton, because we believe tall slim guys deserve to be comfortable in what they wear.
Using 100% cotton creates a softer shirt with a subtle stretch that's comfortable and warm without feeling too hot. But with that comes some adjusted care instructions - as you've probably discovered yourself, cotton loves to shrink.
Here's a step by step process that's straightforward, easy, and low-maintenance to keep your 100% cotton Redwood clothing in tip-top shape for years to come:
Sure, our shirts are made with 100% cotton, but they can handle a normal wash cycle like a champ. Just make sure to wash with like colors to avoid the off chance of staining your new Oatmeal Henley bright pink;)
After a while of wearing, washing, and drying, our shirts and hoodies have a chance of pilling. But there's an easy fix! If you want your Redwood to last longer and stay soft, try washing on the delicate cycle. It's gentler on the cotton, and will help your clothing stay durable for even longer.
That's right - you can tumble dry on low without worry. Even though our shirts are 100% cotton (which typically shrinks in the dryer), we pre-washed it, so you can trust our shirts shrink no more than 3% after that first wash. Laying flat to dry is always an option if you're truly concerned, but throwing it in the dryer shouldn't be a problem.
Like we said, you can expect our shirts to shrink less than 3% - and that's on the off chance it shrinks at all. We know how frustrating it is to get clothes that fit - but then don't fit after you wash them once. That's why we made sure to create durable clothing that won't shrink.
